Cairns Plaza Hotel

Spacious room with lovely ocean views. Pool area could use more shade. Great playground for kids right across the street.

the stay here was really nice by one night. this was a good location near close to shops.

I had an ocean view suite that was clean and spacious. The pool was awesome! Perfect location for a stroll to restaurants and bars. The staff helped me with local tips and I enjoyed my evenings on the balcony.

Everything was great, welcoming staff, fabulous views of the bay. It was large, good enough for an overnight stay. The location was marvellous and lovely for us - close to restaurants and eateries. Went to The Atrium for drink or two, set just a short stroll away from the hotel.

The restaurant was good for dinner, we ordered delicious dishes. Marvellous location and overall the stuff was outstandingly accommodating.

The location of plaza is amazing, just a two-minute walk to the seafront. We enjoyed a nice balcony view of the sea, and the room was nice and neat. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

The staff were great. They were very helpful & friendly. The location was great, only a few mins walk to the Lagoon & town centre.

It was a little old. But for the money it was great. Just needs updating. One really great feature was a retractable clothes line over the bath/shower so you can wash your swimmers out each night & hang it up to dry. Brilliant! :)

Location: the hotel was next to Marina of Cairns, for a cheap price in comparison to most hotels in Cairns and shops and restaurants. The atmosphere created was lovely. The breakfast was very very good at reasonable prices, with appetising food.

Loved that the Plaza is smack on the Esplanade! Grabbed brekkie at Jamdrop Cafe and had dinner at Waterside Restaurant, both a hop away. The room was super comfy with fine ocean views. The staff were legends-so helpful and friendly!

We heard every chat in the corridor.

Great value for money, excellent service and convenient location. Particularly good service in the restaurant which is rare to find in Queensland. Housekeeping very friendly but unobtrusive. Reception very efficient and helpful.

Only a minor issue was that the light bulb in desk lamp didn't work and generally poor room and bedside lighting (not very atmospheric but that's a problem with the new bulbs in lots of places which makes rooms feel more like hospital wards) with the exception of the bathroom which was fine. External appearance, entrance and landscaping needs some improvement but I think that is happening soon.

Location,close to city,marina,RSL club,childrens playground and parklands.Top views from sixth floor.Tour booking counter very handy and restaurant very good.

The lock on the patio door did not work properly.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The room was spacious, clean, and had lovely views of the Esplanade. The location was perfect, with easy access to nearby cafes and the beach.

Could use more shade in the pool area.

Was convenient as an over night stay.

Rooms cleaned daily, good space, bedroom separate to lounge.

Limited utensils in Kitchenette, although the Hotel states this in their overview.
